Barcode Scanning Using Q-scan software
in Conjunction with Sage Line 50 &100

Q-scan utilises a barcode scanner connected directly to a serial (or RS232) port on your PC.
This allows barcoded representations of Sage Product Codes to be scanned directly into the fields within Sage, or any Windows-based program.

Q-scan+ uses the same type of scanner to pass a manufacturer's barcode to a barcode table, which will link it to a Sage stock code.
This allows up to 10 alternative barcodes to be ‘cross referenced’ with a single Sage product.

This is exactly the same technology used by high street stores and supermarkets who use the same technique to link manufacturers' barcodes within their EPoS systems.
